Castle Leazes accommodates over 1,000 students during term time and during the summer vacation many of these rooms are available for guests. Social facilities on the site include 3 large dining rooms, TV rooms, games room, snooker room, shop and launderette. There is also a fully licensed bar on site, however, this is only available when sufficient numbers of guests are in hall.

All the study bedrooms have a wash hand basin and shared shower and bathroom facilities. In addition nine rooms are specially fitted for guests with disabilities.  Some rooms have attactive moorland views. Rooms are clean and tidy and serviced daily.

All bedrooms are double-glazed with thermostatically controlled central heating. Bed linen, towels, welcome packs and complimentary tea and coffee-making facilities are provided in each bedroom.

Laurence Marlow, August 2010: This was our 2nd visit-even better than the first; service was excellent -reception staff were all approachable and friendly; rooms were clean and toilet and shower facilities were clean, in good working order and well maintained. The breakfasts were first class-the introduction of 'smoothies' was a real innovation staff and catering staff were helpful and efficient. Everyone involved was a credit to the University-we certainly hope that the University continues to offer this service for many years to come. We really enjoyed our stay

Ryan Cross, August 2010: Lovely quiet location close to the city centre. Very friendly staff, good facilities, great location. I will be syating again on my next trip. Oh and the breakfast is fantastic.

First taxi driver did charge us £7 and never eved dropped us of anywhere near halls then the rest of the taxi,s only charged £3! so watch out for that, room was basic but nice and bathroom was very clean and thats what i care about, i would stay here again though!

michael lynn, August 2010: rooms were clean ,tidy and comfortable ! reception staff polite and very helpful !! thank you !

DEBRA WILEMAN, August 2010: Lovely friendly helpful staff!

Janet Culliford, July 2010: I would just comment that the curtains did not really fit the windows with the result that I was woken vey early by sunlight in my eyes! Otherwise excellent value and service.

Des Smyth, July 2010: Great value for money . Excellent facilities . Helpful friendly staff .

Richard Postlethwaite, February 2010: The room was clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly, for me the overall stay was very enjoyable, the breakfast was excellent, the staff at the canteen were very friendly, I shall be coming back soon. Richard Postlethwaite

Laurence Marlow, February 2010: Very friendly & professional staff; rooms were comfortable and the Hall is so handy for the city centre. Would certainly come again

Miss Margaret O'Mara, July 2009: Food at breakfast was plentiful but I did notice that the orange juice was watered down and it would be really good if the hot water supplied for tea and coffee could be kept warmer than in the thermos flasks used. However, I thought you were excellent value for money and very helpful!

Karen Leslie, July 2009: I booked two rooms unfortunately they were on different floors, it would of been better if they were next to each other.Apart from that i enjoyed my stay.

rob allen, July 2009: exactley what we wanted as a group with excellet value for money and very polite staff
