Castle Court is a purpose-built modern block on the Castle Leazes site and within a short walk of the University campus, Sports Centre and city centre.
Situated adjacent to the main Castle Leazes Halls, guests at Castle Court are able to make full use of the facilities in the main Hall, i.e. dining rooms, bar, launderette etc.
All rooms are ensuite arranged in flats of 7 rooms. There are two sizes of rooms to choose from – a standard single and a spacious deluxe, including double bed. Each flat incorporates a fully equipped communal kitchen/lounge/dining area, complete with Freeview TV.
Seven of the flats within Castle Court contain a wheelchair accessible room, the communal areas of these flats are also accessible.
Door entry and intercom systems ensure guest safety, together with on-site CCTV.
All rooms are furnished to a high standard and complimentary tea and coffee is provided in each bedroom.

Dining and drinking
Breakfast is included in the price of your room and is served in one of the dining rooms on the main Castle Leazes site. Breakfast normally consists of full English, however, on some weekends this may be a continental service.
Excellent-value light snacks and sandwiches can also be bought from the bar and shop. Vending machines provide a 24-hour service for confectionery, snacks and drinks.
At certain times an evening meal service would be available and guest are able to purchase meal tickets. Details should be obtained from Reception on arrival.

Check In: From 3pm Check Out: By 10am
Check in at Castle Leazes main reception which is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Arrangements for left luggage can be made with Reception on arrival/departure.
By Car: From the A1 take A69 to Newcastle, straight over first roundabout and stay on A186 (West Road) into town, crossing three roundabouts. After the General Hospital on the left, turn left at the first traffic lights onto Brighton Grove (C116). Follow signs for Castle Leazes through two sets of traffic lights, then first right into Fountain Row and straight along to Main Entrance.
By Rail: Trains arrive at Newcastle Central Station. Bus numbers 71 - 72 - 73 - 87 - 88 leave from Westgate Road (2 minutes from station) to Fenham Barracks. Cross road and walk through Barracks down Holland Drive to Main Entrance - two minutes' walk. Or, take the Metro from Central Station to Haymarket, then walk up St Thomas' Street, up Richardson Road and across the Moor to Castle Leazes - 15 minutes' walk. Alternatively, a taxi from the Central Station to Castle Leazes takes approximately 7 minutes.
By Air: Take the Metro from Airport to Haymarket, then walk up St Thomas' Street, up Richardson Road and across the Moor to Castle Leazes - 15 minutes' walk. Alternatively, take a taxi direct to the Halls - approximately 20 minutes. The Airport Bus will take you to Newcastle Central Station.
