Ms Mary Elisabeth Arnold (Claude Gibb Hall, Newcastle, September 2011): I was doubtful of booking at Claude Gibbe Hall because of the nearness to a major road. But the sound insulation must've been very good because I had a very very peaceful stay. Fantastic! Perhaps something about this could be incorporated on the website to stop others being put off by similar worries. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Mr Paul Meneely (Castle Leazes Halls, Newcastle, September 2011): Thanks for a very enjoyable stay. I thought the staff at reception and in the catering unit were very good and made our stay even more enjoyable. My comments on the standard of the room are based on what I have encountered at other universities. In several cases the room has included a shower and in some cases a TV. I can not remember if Newcastle offers such facilities but this would have been the icing on the cake. Its certainly not an issue that would prevent me from re-booking or recommending the service to others.

Mrs Jillian Bellamy (Claude Gibb Hall, Newcastle, August 2011): We had a very pleasant stay and a lovely surprise with the pack of toiletries and sachets of hot chocolate provided. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful, as were the kitchen staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Claude Gibb Hall to others.

Mr Michael Fawcett (Castle Leazes Halls, Newcastle, August 2011): Very friendly staff who were very helpful

Laurence Marlow (Castle Leazes Halls, Newcastle, August 2010): This was our 2nd visit-even better than the first; service was excellent -reception staff were all approachable and friendly; rooms were clean and toilet and shower facilities were clean, in good working order and well maintained. The breakfasts were first class-the introduction of 'smoothies' was a real innovation staff and catering staff were helpful and efficient. Everyone involved was a credit to the University-we certainly hope that the University continues to offer this service for many years to come. We really enjoyed our stay

MARY ELISABETH ARNOLD (Henderson Halls, Newcastle, July 2009): Old-fashioned student accommodation, built round a courtyard, with lovely gardens and a friendly tortoiseshell cat! The room was small, cosy and homely, with excellent en-suite shower/toilet facilities. Plenty of parking, nearby supermarket and petrol, and close to public transport. I had a very enjoyable stay.

Miss Margaret O'Mara (Castle Leazes Halls, Newcastle, July 2009): Food at breakfast was plentiful but I did notice that the orange juice was watered down and it would be really good if the hot water supplied for tea and coffee could be kept warmer than in the thermos flasks used. However, I thought you were excellent value for money and very helpful!

Karen Leslie (Castle Leazes Halls, Newcastle, July 2009): I booked two rooms unfortunately they were on different floors, it would of been better if they were next to each other.Apart from that i enjoyed my stay.
